Jody A. Markopoulos

Chief Operating Officer

Jody joined Eos as Chief Operating Officer in March 2021. A proven leader with over 25 years in the energy industry, having diverse and varied industrial experience managing large organizations, global operations to profit and loss leadership. Jody brings with her a deep expertise in identifying and implementing opportunities to improve operational performance across all facets of the supply chain, service and technology introduction as well as product management.

While Jody’s most recent role was as the founder of JA Markopoulos Consulting, a professional services firm dedicated to assisting companies and private equity firms extract value from business operations, she spent the vast majority of her career at GE. Jody joined GE on the factory floor in their Management Development Program and spent the next 17 years at GE Power performing operational leadership roles in manufacturing, sourcing, quality and product management. She was appointed a GE company officer in 2007 and became President and CEO of GE Intelligent Platforms, a high-performance technology company and a global provider of software, hardware, services and expertise in controls, automation and embedded computing. She went on to become Chief Operations Officer and member of the executive team for GE Oil & Gas, up until the merger with Baker Hughes, when she assumed the role of Chief Supply Chain Officer, responsible for the supply chain operations and strategy across BKGE with over 500 service and manufacturing locations in over 120 countries. Jody’s latest role was as Chief Transition Officer at Baker Hughes, where she was responsible for leading the strategy and execution of an orderly transition from GE.

Jody earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Engineering and Management from Clarkson University, where she has been a trustee since 2011. She has served as a board member or in an executive advisory role for GE’s Women’s Network, Pink Petro, Women’s Energy Network, and Georgia Tech’s School of Industrial & Systems Engineering. Recognized over the years for her work furthering women’s achievements in technical fields and leadership roles, Jody is honored to have been one of the inaugural honorees of the Women in Energy Leadership awards given by the Houston Business Journal in October 2015.
